Welcome to our blog!

Hello and welcome to our blog! Our names are Rachel and Faith and were both 12. Were starting this blog to raise money for Harmony, Sasha and Wyatt on Reeces Rainbow by selling our crafts.

Rachel's family has adopted twice from Ukraine, once in December 2010, and once in September 2011. It was amazing getting to go to Ukraine twice and rescuing Matthew, Michael, Sarah and Sydney!

Now were using the talents that God gave us to help save these kids from going to the institution. One day we hope to get all the kids fully funded! And remember 100% of everything we earn will go to help save Harmony, Sasha and Wyatt! We update the blog all the time so make sure to check back for new items! We hope you enjoy all our crafts and please tell your friends!!!(:

About Sasha, Wyatt and Harmony

Sasha's RR info:

SIGNIFICANT RISK, PLEASE ADOPT ME SOON!!

Sasha is a precious little gift from God. He is 6 years old, but is not able to do much of anything right now. He is very much still a baby. He may have CP as well, but is considered severely delayed. He does a lot of rocking…in his crib, in his stroller…to keep himself occupied. He has teeth marks in his tongue from chewing on it from boredom. We do not know if he truly has autism, or he is just so severely impacted by the CP or other birth trauma that the caregivers can't really do much with him, and he turns to himself to soothe.

As you can tell Sasha is in deep need of a family. If somebody doesn't adopt him soon he will die in the institution because he is about to get transferred. Sasha will need a family that is very patient, because he is probably more like a 2 year old rather then a 8 year old, but with love he will be able to do great things! Please don't let Sasha go threw that. Please if you can, donate to him, or, if you can't do that, Pray for him that he finds a forever family, or adopt him!

Wyatt's RR info:

Update Sept 2011: Our little Wyatt is not doing well. He is described as a recumbent patient. Along with his Down syndrome, he has hydrocephalus and can hardly move his hands.

Update Jan 2012: Wyatt also has possible Cystic Fibrosis and is fed through a tube.

Poor little Wyatt is probably in so much pain from hydrocephalus. Even tho he can barely move his hands i bet he's the sweetest thing ever! He needs a family.. ASAP! All he needs is a loving family. In 1 year he will be transferred to the institution where he will probably die, because he cant defend himself. Please if you can, donate to Wyatt, or if you cant do that, pray for him, or adopt him!

Harmony's RR info:

I know in my heart that if anyone can help this beautiful 15 year old girl with Down syndrome find a family, it is the advocates at Reece's Rainbow! If she is not adopted by July of 2012, she will no longer be eligible for adoption AT ALL. We need an experienced family with a completed or near complete home study, who has adopted older children with special needs internationally before.

Present Carer: Harmony is receiving secondary education at a middle school and has been residing at the school’s boarding section since 2002.

Present Development: Although Hamony is a girl with Down Syndrome and a number of medical problems, her medical issues had been subsided after receiving treatments and operations. Due to left severe hearing loss, right profound hearing loss, moderate hyperopia, astigmatism and nystagmus, Harmony has to wear hearing aids and spectacles in school. However, she does not put them on in the dorm and yet can do very well. She understands her worker’s instructions well and has no communication problems with her housemates. Harmony's behavior and emotions are stable. She has acquired self care skills and managed to bathe independently, wash her hair, hang up and fold her clothes neatly. She also knows how to seek help from the social worker when her toys are seized or is pinched by other housemates. Her appetite is good. She eats well and does not spend a lot of time in eating.

Harmony loves learning and is attentive in class. She completes her homework voluntarily. She understands and recognizes different parts of the body. She also recognizes the name tag of her classmates and calls out their names. At present, she learns Chinese language by using reading cards and can pronounce two syllables. She is described as patient, helpful and playful. She loves music and plays the hand bell well. She usually imitates the behaviors of others, manages to string a bead and slides with a pair of roller blades. She can stay focused when playing with puzzles, play-dough and drawing with a pen. She also enjoys playing with younger children, such as chasing and hitting each other and dancing together. Being a helper of the social worker, she stops a classmate from hitting the other and prevents a social worker from falling down. She used to be very exciting towards peoples and was stubborn. When her want was declined, she threw a temper. Fortunately, she can control her emotions and follow instructions after being explained. When she has home leave at a social worker’s home during weekends, she follows the rules well and gets along well with the family members of the social worker.

Harmony has been waiting for a family for 15 years... 15 years!!!! Who wouldn't want a sweet 15 year old girl? But sadly if she doesn't get adopted by july of 2012 she will be un-available for adopting from America. So its very important that she gets adopted before july! Please if you can donate to her, or if you cant do that, pray for her that she gets adopted, or adopt her!

We love you Sasha, Wyatt and Harmony!!!
